Kimberly Maher — Founder
Kimberly started Orchid Cleaning Service in 2012 as a one-woman operation out of Lakeland, cleaning homes herself and building the company one satisfied customer at a time. Her standard — leave every space better than you found it, and treat the customer like a neighbor — is still the rule every Orchid crew works by today. Kimberly now advises the business she built while it's run day-to-day by the next generation of the family.
Joey Maher — Owner
Joey leads Orchid Cleaning Service and is as likely to be found on a scissor-lift cleaning second-story windows as behind a desk. Before cleaning, Joey spent years in professional baseball — drafted by the New York Yankees in 2011 and later coaching pitching in their minor-league system — where he learned that consistency and showing up on time are what separate good from great. He carried that into real estate, where he managed rental housing and built and operated a six-property short-term rental portfolio in the Tampa Bay area that held a 4.8-star guest rating before he sold it in 2023. That hospitality background is why Orchid obsesses over the details most cleaners skip: Joey runs the company to a hotel standard, not a shortcut one. Every cleaner is W-2 employed, background-checked with no history of theft or violent crime, and put through 90 days of training before working unsupervised in a customer's space.
Beverly Hughes — Commercial Operations Lead
Beverly built and runs Orchid's commercial division, which today serves 80+ active business accounts across Polk County — offices, medical suites, warehouses, churches, and multi-site property managers. She handles the parts commercial clients care about most: reliable recurring scheduling, consistent crews who learn your building, and invoicing that matches the contract. When a property manager needs a same-week turnaround or a build-out cleaned before a grand opening, Beverly is the one who makes it happen.
Orchid is proud to be part of the community it cleans for: we're members of four local chambers of commerce, were named 2025 Rookie Business of the Year by the Greater Mulberry Chamber, and regularly donate cleaning services to local churches and nonprofits including the Church of the One and the Pagliarulo Family Foundation.
